The Crazy Colorful $16 Stairway Makeover

The idea of decorating with paint chips isn't going anywhere, anytime soon. Just the thought of making an impact on a big scale with lots of little (free) colors is enough to make even the hardest heart go pitter-patter. Although some might not be brave enough to sport the look in a bedroom or living room, this stairway looks like the perfect place to test it out — especially when it only set them back $16!

Over at The Cozy Little Cave they've been making a big impact for very little cash. They purchased a can of spray adhesive and a mask to keep their lungs happy, but other than that, no additional money was spent.

The walls were painted white and a runner was added (handmade no less!) and then the fun began! Paint chips were applied to the wall with adhesive in a light to dark pattern. The end result is super fun in a space where you go from one floor to another, the color seems to go with you. Check out more shots of this fun idea over at Cozy Little Cave | Psychedelic Stair Renovation!.
